Hunting and Fishing

Dense forests and rough waters to indulge in two activities linked to nature. The preserves delimit where to exercise these hobbies as old as man.

Hunting and fishing lovers find in the province of Huesca one of the best equipped natural environments in Spain to practice these two sports so closely linked to nature.

A perfect combination to enjoy these two sports hobbies. Most of the Pyrenean towns have hunting reserves, both big and small, some public and others private, without forgetting the areas declared National Hunting Reserves.

Huesca offers such emblematic places as Viñamala (in the Ordesa National Park and Biosphere Reserve), Los Valles (Hecho and Ansó), Garcipollera (in the Aragón valley), Los Circos (Bielsa) and Benasque.

Variety of landscapes and species, including wild boar, chamois, various birds, rabbits and hares.

FISHING Rivers, marshes and lagoons are some of the places where you can enjoy the magic of fishing. Clean and fresh waters where the trout becomes the star fish, especially in the Pyrenees area. El Aragón, Gállego, Ésera or Alcandre rivers offer free stretches of catch and release fishing; without forgetting the option of practicing fishing in high mountain water at the source of the Isábena, Ara (the only one without dams in the whole Pyrenees) or Cinca rivers.

As for the reservoirs, those of Arguís or Valdabra are two other points with great possibilities; among them, the offer of a fishing school.
